These is my 4th or 5th trips to Oman, Muscat.
The journey took about 5 hours on road. (eg. Spore-KL)
Since we have been there couple of times and normally
during the summer.
Our choices of hotels has improved. lol
From a dangy, old almost run-down hotel
this time, I told husband to check us into
this time, I told husband to check us into
a better hotel with better facilities.
Firstly, it is the summer and we wont be out the whole day
so a better room & hotel is essential.
And since we will be staying in most of the time,
better to have a pool for the kids to soak into
and have fun.
Another thing, the hotel rates here is not cheap.
Unlike in KL where u pay for RM500 you can get
a 5 or 6 star hotel.
Here or anywhere in the middleeast, hotel rates
are ridiculously HIGH.
After a last minute searching for a hotel online,
and at a reasonable rates we made a reservation
at the GOLDEN TULIP HOTEL.
Off we go and left the house at 3:30pm on a friday.
Although I was apprehensive at first to travel
with my condition, I kept telling myself this
will be my last time for me to have an ample rest
before the baby comes out.
We packed light and set off around 3:30pm.
Hubby drove leisurely and the kids
entertained themselves by watching
tv. Hana was quite cranky coz she
doesnt want to be strapped on in the car seat.
We reached Oman around 9plus and since
i was too tired to go out for dinner.
We ordered room service.
Thereafter, without wasting time, afiq & haqeem
went to the pool.
The next day, we woke up early to have breakfast and
set off to the souq but it was so hot
that we were there for abt half an hour and out we go!!
Thereafter, as usual, hubby will drove up the mountain for the
scenery.
Then we went to our favourite stall. THE ONLY STALL
which sells GRILL FISH/seafood.
We ordered 1 red snapper, 1 hammour and squid
and brought back to the hotel for our lunch.
It was yummy and finger licking good.
But still I missed our own ikan bakar frm Simpang
bedok! lol.
After resting for about half an hour, the kids wanted
to go to the pool. They were there for few hours and enjoyed
themselves. Husband wanted to go for a massage but
it was fully booked.
Yuni took the opportunity to have a nap and I rested
well too.
At about 7plus, we all get ready to go for dinner
at Muscat CIty center.
The kids were thrilled when abah said that
they can buy a toy.
Maya bought a pony castle and haqeem bought a
BEN10 DVD games.
We had our dinner at THE NOODLE HOUSE but
it was dissappointing.
I was still hungry after the meal but I am too tired
to stop at anywhere else to buy food.
We lazed around in the room and watched TV.
The 3rd day, we woke up abit late, get ready to hv breakfast
and packed our bags to check out.
We left the hotel before noon.
We made a few stops and we reached dubai
around 8plus and we had dinner at Ibn Batuta.
It was a great weekend for all of us.
I got an ample rest and get to spend time
with husband & kids.
The best part, there is no damages done.
